Faith Tan

"Change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end."

Faith is a clinical support staff at Thrive Psychology Clinic.

Faith Tan is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Psychological Science at James Cook University Singapore, where she excels academically, earning High Distinction in Psychopathology and Psychological Assessment modules alongside Distinctions in Counseling, Social Psychology, Memory and Cognition, and more.

Faith is currently interning at Thrive Psychology Clinic as a Clinic Support and works as a research assistant alongside three university professors on an ongoing psychological study. Her passion for psychology extends beyond academia; she has facilitated university psychology conferences, where she connected with international professors to explore how psychological research can positively impact society.

Faith’s fascination with the human mind stems from its complexity and unpredictability, shaped by unique personalities, upbringing, and mindsets. Her interests lie in cognitive testing, childhood development interventions, and psychological research. Her previous role as a student care teacher, where she worked closely with special needs children, further solidified her passion for understanding and addressing the root causes of behavioral and developmental challenges.

With aspirations to pursue higher education, Faith envisions a future as a clinical psychologist specializing in children and contribute to academia as a university professor, advocating for greater mental health awareness and accessibility. Through her experiences and dedication, Faith hopes to inspire the next generation and bring meaningful insights to the evolving field of psychology.
