Emma Teo
“One foot in front of the other.”
Emma is a clinical support staff at Thrive Psychology Clinic.
Emma is a final-year Psychology undergraduate at Murdoch University with a strong interest in clinical psychology and counselling. She has always found joy in supporting people in need, but her passion for mental health was first sparked in her teenage years when the guidance of a counsellor made a lasting difference in her life. Since then, she has been motivated to pursue psychology as a way of empowering others to overcome challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
As an aspiring mental health professional, Emma believes in the importance of empathy, accessibility, and evidence-based support in helping individuals thrive. Through her studies, she has developed a growing interest in how psychological principles can be applied in practice to improve well-being across different groups in society.
She is excited to embark on her internship with Thrive Psychology Clinic, where she looks forward to gaining clinical exposure and learning how a psychology clinic operates on a day-to-day basis. Emma is eager to observe and learn from experienced clinicians, strengthen her practical skills, and deepen her understanding of how theory translates into practice in the mental health field.
