Chloe

“Soft is stronger than hard, water stronger than rock.”
— Lao Tzu

Chloe is behavioural therapist at Thrive Psychology Clinic.

Chloe is a passionate play-based practitioner with nearly a decade of experience working with children of all abilities—including those with special needs, emotional or behavioural challenges, and even young ones at risk of delinquency. Currently pursuing her postgraduate studies in Play Therapy and Counselling Psychology, Chloe believes that play is not just fun—it’s healing, powerful, and essential to every child’s growth.

From preschool classrooms to clinic-based and home-based therapy sessions, and dynamic early intervention programs, Chloe has supported children aged 18 months to 21 years across a diverse range of settings. Whether it's building emotional regulation through play, developing social skills with sensory games, or unlocking communication with art and movement, Chloe knows how to meet children where they are—on the mat, in the sandpit, or under a fort of cushions!

She has designed and led a School Preparation Program tailored for children with special needs, combining ABA principles with child-led, play-based learning. As an Assistant Occupational Therapist, she also supports children in developing motor coordination, sensory integration, and life skills through fun and engaging therapeutic activities. Her background in psychology and criminology gives her a unique edge when working with children who’ve experienced trauma or display challenging behaviours—they’re often the ones she connects with best.

Chloe’s approach is guided by curiosity, creativity, and deep respect for each child’s individual journey. She is committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces where children and youth feel free to express themselves, make mistakes, ask questions, and try again—without fear of shame or judgment. With a strong foundation in developmentally appropriate practices, Chloe also honours the importance of body autonomy, consent, and healthy boundaries, especially when supporting adolescents through identity formation and emotional growth. To her, every meltdown is a message, every game has meaning, and every child is capable of growth—with the right kind of play, presence, and trust.

When she’s not rolling on the floor with kids, Chloe is often found rolling on the mats doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She also loves reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. Her playful, grounded energy makes her a natural at connecting with children and bringing out the best in them—even on the toughest days.

As Chloe often reminds the young people she works with, “Every part of you is welcome here—your thoughts, your feelings, your journey. This is a safe space for growth, healing, and hope.”
